Interior Design is not just my profession, it's my passion. Whether it was constantly re-arranging my bedroom, sketching out floor plans, or admiring historical buildings, I have always been inspired by the world of color, design, and decor. What I love most about interior design is connecting with people - using my breadth of experience to translate their needs and style preferences into functional, beautiful spaces they love.
When it comes to selecting from an array of textures, colors, patterns, and styles, I find inspiration in my clients' taste and personalities as well as the architecture of the space. I make the design process fun and interactive for my diverse range of clients, cultivating fresh, functional modern spaces with a strong sense of character and style.
As for my academic and professional background, I earned a B.A. degree in Ecological Design at the Evergreen State College. I then completed a three-year Certificate Program in Interior Architecture and Interior Design from UC Berkeley Extension. After working at two reputable Bay Area design firms for several years, I founded Jill Cordner Interior Design in 2009. I am also a LEED Accredited Professional (Green Design Certification).
